IBE Contractors Ltd (Indigenous Building Envelope Contractors) is a Thorpe-affiliated initiative focused on supporting Indigenous ownership, employment, and leadership in the envelope trades. IBEC partners directly with Indigenous workers, entrepreneurs, and communities to deliver envelope scopes while building lasting economic capacity.
How It Works:
- IBEC crews are trained, mentored, and deployed through Thorpe’s project pipeline
- Indigenous subcontractors are supported with systems, resources, and project onboarding
- IBEC workers receive mentorship from journeyperson installers and construction leaders
